FIREFRIGHT gave trainer Jeremy Noseda his first Turf winner of the new season when scoring at Doncaster last night.

The Dragon Pulse colt had been in the frame on each of his previous five starts, including when third at Newmarket 10 days earlier on his seasonal bow.

He was sent off as the 5/4 favourite for the latest assignment and didn't disappoint under jockey James Doyle.

Firefright was always handy disputing the lead for much of the seven-furlong contest.

Made Of Honour went on with a quarter of a mile to go but the Paul and Susan Roy-owned Firefright had the move covered.

The Shalfleet horse reasserted inside the final 100 or so yards and had half a length in hand when hitting the line.

It proved to be a good weekend all round for Noseda as his football team won the north London derby on Sunday afternoon!
