Deja is Shalfleet’s latest 2yo winner

THREE runners, three winners – and all of them two-year-olds.

It’s been a superb week for Shalfleet with Deja yesterday joining Lansky and Quargent in the roll of recent successes for the stable.

The Youmzain colt was odds on for victory at Wolverhampton after a very encouraging debut at Newmarket’s July Festival.

The step up in trip from seven furlongs to an extended mile was also going to work in his favour.

Jockey Gerald Mosse ensured a smooth passage for trainer Jeremy Noseda’s charge and a comfortable success duly followed.

In fact, Deja was asked to make all by Mosse and the pair were always in command, eventually hitting the line with two and three-quarter lengths to spare.
